Welcome at Moving Risk Consultancy

Using the brand name Moving Risk Consultancy I use my knowledge of transport, risk, insurance and sustainability for training sessions. Since 1985 I worked in a variety of sectors in transport, marine insurance, cargo-survey, loss control engineer, broker and especially as underwriter and manager within international Marine Insurance companies. As of mid 2022 till early 2026 I was self-employed, and became an employee of an international (marine) insurance company again. Still, I maintain my training sessions and am still open to discuss all mentioned aspects, provided integrity to my current employer.

This translates to potential assignments in range of:

• (transport-) risk analysis and risk management
• sustainability in a transit and/or insurance environment
• underwriting & account management in (transport) insurance
• study of, arranging and implementation of policy
• training & consultancy

My past and current assignements comprise:

• underwriting of the hull portfolio on behalf of a multinational insurer in the Dutch market
• cargo-liabilities risk analyses the local activities of a multinational logistic services company
• promoting sustainability in the insurance environment
• trainer Transit for the Dutch Register of Insurance Brokers (RMiA)
• member study group sustainability / ESG in the transport insurance market
• lectures & presentations on sustainability & transport
• underwriting, management & analyses of the marine portfolio of a large Dutch insurer
